Brief Description: Finished Aft Rib Cutouts and Located Gussets
Tonight was pretty productive. I finished making all the cutouts called for in the plans for aft ribs 1-5. I then pilot drilled and updrilled the gussets for aft ribs 1-4. Since you have to make the cutouts on the forward side of the aft ribs (to clear the spar caps during installation) they need additional support to prevent cracking. The cutout is small for rib 5 so a gusset is not necessary. These aft ribs will be installed in the inboard section of the wing. The remaining ribs won't need much modification to fit the outboard section. Tomorrow I'll debur, prime and rivet the gussets to the aft ribs.
Next will be to start the similar operation on the forward ribs.
