Brief Description: Started Assembling Aft Spar Carry-Thru Structure
In my Waiex kit S/N153, it originally came with non-match hole channel. So I have had to cut everything out of raw channel. When the time came to make the aft spar channel I realized that I didn't have enough of the channel lenght left. I ordered the part which is now match-hole construction. According to the plans, the center hole in the channel is supposed to be at 19 11/16 or a similar dimension (not looking at the plans at the moment). When I measured the hole it is centered on 19 inches. I may have to expand the hole for the ruddervator pushrods in during wing rigging.
Got a lot accomplished today. Pilot drilled, updrilled, deburred, cleaned and primed the aft spar carry-thru assembly. I waited until later this evening and assembled the components. All fit well and this part will go on the shelf with the other attaching parts awaiting wing rigging some day.
