Since both bending brakes would not accomodate bending of the flanges on the instrument panel, I clamped an angle to my workbench and then used the 1/16" radius top piece from my small brake to secure the panel for bending. I used my bending pliers and my rubber mallet to bend the 60 and 66 degree flanges of the panel.
Of course I had to use the mockup MGL iEFIS panel to see what it would look like if installed. Looks nice and it's fun to dream. At 6K for the system, it may have to wait a while.
I also rough cut the reamaining angle pieces that attach the glarshield to the upper firewall and secure the upper part of the fuel tank in place. I still have to bend these pieces and pilot drill them.
