Brief Description: Organized & Gathered Parts for Firewall
I gathered the parts for the firewall assembly today. Since the kit I purchased was pre-owned, but never started, I wondered if I'd run across some items that were missing. When I did the initial inventory I did not notice that the firewall upper former was not included. Well, I've looked all over for it and it hasn't turned up.
So while needing or order the former from Sonex I also decided to replace the actually firewall panel that came with the kit. During the various shipping phases, the other thick parts that were on the top layer of the pallet made dents in the stainless firewall. The damage wouldn't affect the structual integrity of the aircraft, but it just doesn't look pretty and I would rather make it right from the start.
