I riveted the turtle deck skin and spline tonight and test fit it to the aft fuselage.
I spoke with Kerry at Sonex about the incorrectly placed cutouts I made on the turtle deck skins. He recommended not replacing the skins since the cut out area would not affect the structural integrity. As I suspected, he recommended that I just make the aft faring a 1/4" longer because I will still have enough overhang past the aft former to attach it to the skin.
I asked my wife, Heather, to help me place the skin on the aft fuselage. The whole assembly suddenly got lot bigger tonight. It doesn't look that big in the picture, but it sure feels big in person.
