Brief Description: Fitted and Drilled Rt Aft Fuselage Skin
I combined two days of shop work into one log entry. I fitted, piloted and updrilled the longerons, verticals, fwd zee channel, rudder stop plate, fairlead assebmlies, fwd fuselage attach fittings and bracket/pulley assemblies per plans sheet F26. Everything came out nicely. The fwd fuselage fitting are not perfect bendwise, but will be structrually sound and should fit fine when I attach the forward fuselage.
I had to use a longer drill bit to get to the fwd fuselage attach fittings because of clecos and clamps that were in the way. I have normal length bits and a couple of 12" bits. This job would have been easier with a 6" drill.
The plans don't call out an assembly sequence, but I attached the fitting to the longerons after they were secure and before I drilled the #1 zee channel. Otherwise there would be not access to accurately drill the fittings.
