After looking at several different bending brakes online, I decided that I would build my own out of angle stock. Since all of the speciality bending brakes were more than I wanted to pay, I figured that spending $100 on materials would meet my needs better for this project.
I fabricated a modified version of Dave's bending brake found on the EAA website. I purchased 2 - 4 foot sections of 2 x 2 x 1/8" angle and one 4 foot section of 2 x 2 x1/4" angle to build the brake. I spent part of the day on Sunday drilling and attaching the components to my movable workbench. I still have to locate the appropirate hinge that will allow me to make good bends with this homemade tool.
