Drilled five 1/2 diameter holes for the fuel fittings, for this I used a Uni-Bit drill, at the locations shown on figure 05-14.
Rinsed the tank with water after drilling to get rid off foreign material left by the drilling proces.
After the tank was completely dry I started installing the fittings. To install the fittings into the tank I used a rigid metal wire which was inserted through the filler neck and out of the fitting hole.
Each tank withdrawal fitting received a O-Ring to seal the inside of the tank.
The outside of the fitting received a flat rubber washer, 1/2" thick washer and a retaining nut.
Locktide blue was applied to the threads.
After capping off all fittings a leaktest was done with the help of water which was left into the tank for 48 hours.
All fittings passed the leaktest, no leaks where found.
