Brief Description:  Vent hole prep, spinner bulkhead and cowl fitting

In anticipation of delivery of eyeball vents from Affordable Panels I parially removed the outside sections of the instrument panel to access the vent mounting hole that gets covered by the panel pieces. These were countersunk to allow the screw head attaching the vent to lie flush under the panel.

I fabricated a second spinner bulkhead plate from the first to use while I torqued down the prop bolts. This is to assure that the spinner mounting plates remain in proper alignment while torquing the bolts. The spinner bulkhead was then temporarily mounted to the prop mounting plates.

With the spinner bulkhead in place I fitted the bottom and top cowl to make sure the cowl to spinner clearance was correct. This was a bit of a worry. I had measured everything multiple times but still was anxious. It all turned out fine as the clearance distance was perfect and alignment was also perfect.
