Brief Description:  Root fairings

Removed left fuel tank using recently purchased thumb wheel rachet and mini rachet from Northern Tool. The made the removal of the tank attach bolts MUCH easier and took what was several hours of work down to 45 minutes.

After the tank was removed I filed the outside edge to provide a proper gap to the adjacent leading edge skin. Fuel line tubing was cut to lenght and flared. Tank was remporarily reinstalled on wing spa and fue line attached for proper fitting.

Before the tank was removed there was a pronounced "lump" in the leading edge skin just forward of the spar. After filing the tank edge and replacing it this was resolved.

Once tank was remounted the root fairing was attached and fitted. The proper gap was marked and cut, the the fairing was match driled and final drilled to the wing/fuelsage.

Right wing root fairing was final drilled to wing/fusealge, and marked and cut for proper gap.

Drilled and riveted platenuts to fuel valve cover face.
