I starteted the day by replacing both rear top skins, clocing thrm in place a resetting the left top longereron, This longeron was significantly out of place when first drilled, enough that it could be reset and redrillled. After completing the redrill on this longeron I moved to the 6111 ribs.
After studying information on the VAF website these ribs seems less dauntinging. I started with the left side and first cut the bottom to match the angle to the longeron. Then I drilled and clecoed the first hole. I worked my way up the rib, drilling and clecoing a hole at a time, keeping the centerline mark on the flange visible in each hole before I drilled. I had to remove the rib several times during the process to add twist to it to make it fit. Finally the top end was trimmed to match up to the bulkhead flange. The first rib took quite a while and the second much quicker.
Next came the baggage compartment walls. These were riveted in place. Then the baggage compartment floors were clecoed and I began the riveting process.
