Started the session by standing all the tank skin attach nutplates on end on a piece of cardboard and then priming the bottom surface, which mates to the spar. This is done to reduce the chance of corrosion between dissimilar metals. I then attached the 60 platenuts to the left spar. For each platenut this entailed reaming the 2 attach holes, then countersinking both so the rivet head would be flush to the spar, then celcoing the nutplate to the spar, inserting the rivet in the opposite side, using the pneumatic squeezer to set the rivet, removing the clocos, inserting the second rivet, and setting the second rivet with the squeezer. 60 times. I did batch the activities so it went pretty smoothly and every rivet is perfect.
