Brief Description:  Rivet and attach trim tab

I think the smaller the part the harder the assembly. Tonight I riveted the trim tab together. Nothing but a skin, spar, two actuator tabs and the hinge. What could be hard? It turns out, pretty much all of it. It required a good bit of creativity to even figure out how to get to the rivets to drive them. But persistence paid off (along with the longeron squeezer jaw I purchased thinking I might need it somewhere along the way). So the sequence was; rivet the actuator tabs to the skin while it was still open and accessible, then rivet the bottom of the spar to the skin. This required jamming a block of wood between the top skin and the spar to get enough of an opening to get the squeezer in, the clamp and match drill the hinge to the elevator, cleco it all in place, check for and correct any twist, drill the end tabs, then rivet the end tabs, rivet the top spar and hinge and rivet the front ofd the hinge to the elevator. Whew!!!!

And now with all that done, the next task is even harder, to roll the leading edges of the elevator for riveting.
