Brief Description: Playing the the Project
|
|
"Not much progress really, just too stiff and sore to enjoy it much. I did however play with my throttle knob. My aircraft for many years have had one thing in common, a coin of some sort imbedded in the throttle knob! Just a silly habit, accomplishes nothing other than a conversation piece. I had not yet decided on what to put on this one, but came across a US Dollar coin that seemed perfect given the Air Force One registration. A short trip to the lathe and here you see the result, pretty, huh? (No comments needed on the blue knob color, it is simply a throttle knob that color matches the interior and paint of the plane) I was intending for my original tank to lay around for decades on some shelf in case I needed it, but a friend up Houston way needed one in a hurry, so sold it, now it can be in use rather than laying around on my shelf somewhere."
