"I received my ECU's back today! I was held up by this, not because I needed the computers to run the engine, but because I needed to mount it before I could mount a batch of other things nearby.
The ECU's are referred by most of us as ""new"", but Jan reminds us that it is actually the ""old"" ECU with some hardware and software updates - and a brand new case! It is enough different that the old mounting holes will not work, and I will need to make a shelf from the top of the glove box to enable it to be reached by the Viking cable. Once that is done, I can get back to installing and wiring the shunt, the MAP sensor, my USB port controller and other stuff that will go there.
Anyhow, it feels like progress! Nothing now keeping me from firing it up, except the work still needed, but no parts holdup!"
