Brief Description:  Making some Real Progress

"I had been saving the jobs that entailed real work or contortions, until my son arrived to help! He stated he did not want to go to Mexico or do all the normal tourist things, just wanted to eat shrimp and work on the plane.
We managed to change out all the pulleys to the new ones, lighter weight and more sane speeds of belt driven stuff, and to install a wider belt at the same time. At the same time, we installed the new ND alternator, was easier than anticipated. The room to accomplish this was very limited, so it really took two to get it done. We then went to the airport and put a doubler on the wing skin where I am installing the AOA/Pitot probe..
That all done we t hen tackled the heater, found a place up out of the way to mount it, I am quite proud of its location, will finish the installation tomorrow.
As a reward for all that work, I then allowed him to sit in the pilot seat and make airplane noises, but really we were firing up the Skyview to get some of its secret numbers out to see if I had one that needed to be sent back for a new board - turns out I have one of the good ones, no need to return it.
Tomorrow I think I will have my helper hang the lights in my hangar, they have been there for many months, but I just am not very steady on a ladder any longer, plus my ailing feet start killing me on a ladder in a very short time - like about the time I get to the top of it!."
