"Despite wiring that looks like the remains of several parted out airplanes yet, I needed to power up the Skyview and check out some of the circuits. My first connection resulted in a brilliant flash, followed by my disconnecting things in a hurry. After checking, found the trim wires were taped together and has shorted out and blew the fuse. Finally got a charger on the battery, to bring the voltage up enough to start charging the backup battery. That worked quite well, it is about 12 volts again now. Lots to finish, but this is at least some progress! My new intake manifold, thermostat stuff, and my heater are on the UPS truck, will arrive here on Monday."
