Brief Description:  My Christmas Present from Vans

"Christmas Eve brought me the parts I had screwed up from Vans, so I immediately tackled finishing the landing gear service bulletin stuff. By working until Christmas evening, I finally finished it off.
The first photo shows the two little bolts added that make the channel cracking not crack, what you cannot see is underneath those two bolts a strengthening piece. Photo two shows the two stiffeners riveted on, it sure make a world of difference in stiffness of the side skin. The third photo shows my ingenious method of holding down a pesky bolt while reattaching the gear legs. I managed to do the entire process with no help, proving it can be done.
PS: The bottle of fingernail polish in the last photo is not for my nails - I use that to mark bolts that have been torqued to final specs. Hopefully in my final check of things, if there is no fingernail polish on a nut, that tells me I forgot to torque it to specs."
