Brief Description:  Catch Up

Back from the air show and full schedule of doctor appointments, but managed to get a start on the wiring and fuel lines. It takes some thinking ahead to get the wires to the right place, and doing this without the ECUs and avionics available to me yet only makes it even more difficult.. Vans said this last week should catch them up and my avionics should have been shipped, probably be here this week. Meanwhile the fuel system can go in with only one problem, I cannot procure a Honda fuel rail fitting! The one they use on the car is a cheesy plastic thing not suited for my aircraft use. The problem comes from the fuel rail being 8mm (.318) and the common rail fittings are all for 5/16 (.3125). Since one is not made, my choices seem to be to either remove some material from the rail, or bore out the 5/16 fitting a bit, still working on that problem. Final result will be an aircraft quality fuel line in the engine compartment. Second photo shows my 100micron filter in its proposed location with the fittings for that part of the line.
(Later in the Day) I finally solved the fuel rail problem, a fitting I had bought earlier from JEGS for the purpose worked out super well for the job, see photo three. Now having a fire sleeved, stainless steel braided covering, Teflon hose made to be fully up to aircraft standards on the fuel system.
