I have lots of excuses for not posting, a couple of which are pictured below. My prime reason was that my main computer got some files corrupted, and I could not post from there. This is being done on an old laptop.
I had been looking for years for an older Mercedes diesel in prime condition. I finally found one, a 1991 300D, it is a diesel using the 5 cyl turbo diesel engine that will get up to 40 miles per gallon. This particular one has had two very careful owners, and even with 212k miles, looks, smells, and drives just like new!. I could only find a couple of minor things to totally refurbish it to new condition.
I also had been feeling a little less than full featured on the com radio, so I upgraded to an SL30 nav/com. It is a real miracle in a box, has a CDI built in to the display, but will do VOR, glideslope, LOC etc on the Skyview as well! Some real snazzy stuff, I can hardly wait for it to arrive.
