Brief Description:  Just Twiddling my Thumbs

No, I did not quit on the construction, just had lots of doctor appointments and sundry tasks to perform. Got to go for a computer check of condition of my pacemaker/defibrillator in the morning, then maybe I can get back on it.
Got to figure out how to make the magnetic switches work for the wing pins. The plans have you imbed a magnet in the wing pin "handle" and when the wing pin is secured, the magnetic switch allows the engine to start. Also, lthere is a light on the dash and in the Dynon 180 as I understand it, so if the wing falls off in flight, you get a red light to warn you you are coming in on "a wing and a prayer". Very thoughtful gizmo, except the magnet will not close the switch. Everything is exactly as the plans call for, but no closure of the switch. I might drill out the hole it peeks thru to "see" the magnet, and move the switch closer. This has been a problem for many other builders as well. It has another function as well, since it is mounted in the passenger armrest, if a passenger leans on the armrest too hard, the Dynon announces with a red light that the wing is about to fall off, usually gets their attention., I could fix it by sticking a straight pin thru the two wires, probably would not get approval for that.
That is NOT my panel, but of the one in Bob Kibby's plane, pretty much what mine will look like when I put the avionics in
