Brief Description:  A Real April Fools Day

I had a very bad day. Flipped the fuse and attempted to attach the bottom skin, all went well until lI got to the back, and the whole rear end was off about a half an inch! That means drilling out a gazillion rivets and reassembly of the whole rear portion. Trouble was, I checked and double checked and the rear was riveted correctly! Whatever could be the problem?
Went to my usual problem solver, lthe VAF forums and posed the problem. Several answers, but JetGuy had the problem nailed. When the fuse sits on a table like this in a partially complelted state, the rear is pushed up enough to cause the misalignment! While on the phone, I lifted slightly on the main channel, and presto, the holes aligned! I put a piece of 3/4 wood under the big channel, and went on about my business! Sure was a horror story for me until I got it solved.
