What the heck is this you might be saying, those are SONEX photos! Yep, I was up at Oskhosh WI last week for the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter Leaders Academy, and did not want to miss going to Sonex. John Monnett gave us a fantastic tour of his shop and projects, and he even did snow shovel duty to get us from building to building, that is he wielding the snow shovel in the third photo. I tell all of my Sonex friends, my NEXT plane will be a Sonex!
I paid particular attention to the jet propelled Sonex, I think it will outrun an RV 12, and as soon as mine is signed off, I want to put a jet on my RV 12! Or, perhaps an electric motor, that is John standing in the grey sweater telling us all about that project. We got to play with the folding wing Onex as well, very impressive that is. I had a wonderful time!
