Brief Description:  Charging

What takes so darned long to build an airplane, is getting smart! I opted for one of those new Lithium batteries (for $500) that has a computer in EACH CELL to balance them and other functions. Now that takes a charger with even more computers! I ran it down flat yesterday, and hooked up the charger shown in photo one. Lights started flashing like it was Christmas, none of which was telling me anything. Reading the charger manual did not help much, it said to comply with the battery manual! I came home and ran it off, about 30 pages, and read it. That resulted in an email query to EarthX to explain lots of stuff, like how we can charge a 13.3 volt battery with a 12.8 charger. There explanation was that it is NOT a 12.8v charger, that is an obsolete industry rating thing that is meaningless, and go ahead and use this charger. It continued to do Christmas tree stuff for a while, I finally left it to flash and went home. Am going out later today to see if it is charged up now or if all those computers are still talking to each other and flashing their lights. This battery even has a light that goes on the panel to tell me what the battery computers are doing! I will have to read the manual to know what THAT flashing means. Jeez!.
