"As most know by now, I had a new knee installed on 27 August, and that has slowed me down far more than I anticipated! For weeks now, I spend 4 hours a day on a knee bending machine shown in image 2 and 3, with some more hours a day on physical therapy. The pain is constant, and trying to work on an airplane has no appeal whatever to me at present. I have graduated from a walker to a cane, and am improving, but still lots of pain and limits.
I go have the other knee done on 22 October, so airplane work will be very slow for the rest of the year I suppose. I do have a new oil tank coming, a new flywheel coming, and the wing tanks coming, so will have some packages to unwrap at least.
My son came from TN and helped so very much, since Geneda was still on limited duty from her two surgeries. Getting old sure sucks."
