"Always nice to win a fight. The fight was with the skybolts, they sell you the things, but are not too loose with the instructions of how to install them. Getting the holes in the right place seemed to be impossible, until I dreamed up a system that worked. I turned a tool from an old oil plug in the lathe (I am holding it in my fingers in the second shot). Now I just put it in the hole on the flange as in photo 3, then shine a flashlight up thru the hole, and ""drill the light"" on the cowling. Gives perfect alignment of the hole with the flange. Drill it out to 15/32 and install the quarter turn fasteners. I am more than happy with the fasteners, no wires or screws to drop or lose when pulling the cowling, and to my surprise they are essentially flush when engaged.."
