Brief Description:  Propellor Alteration

"Sometimes an expensive new part has to be improved upon to make it work. Sensenich has been plagued with loose blades in their ground adjustable prop for years and years. They took some of the first ones back and shaved a bit off the halves, hoping for a better grip, still there were problems.
Viking engines could not seem to get Sensenich to come out with a fix, so we made our own. The outer four bolts were only 5/16 inch which limits the torque one could use. By boring out the outer four holes to AN6 (3/8 inch) size, we can put far more torque on those positions. So far so good, we are hoping this will provide a low cost permanent fix.
The third photo shows the completed modification. I found the only acceptable bolts were AN6-22a with three washers. The AN6-21a were just too short for my locknuts."
