Brief Description:  Fuel Tank Leak Fix

"While testing the tank for leaks, I screwed on a fitting to the return line, and carlessly let the fitting turn in the sealed tank. Although it barely moved, it was sufficient to cause a leak! Rather than smear on some more devils snot, since this fitting is up in a small hole for you to fasten the fuel line to when in the aircraft, and I wanted something more secure, I was looking for a solution. Mr Bender had already had the problem and a solution, so I just copied his. This solution also leaves room on the fitting to use a wrench to help hold it if you desire.,
If you are not at the final stage of tank yet, a far, far better solution (and as far as I am concerned a mistake by Vans) would be to rivet in a fitting like the fuel out has, then no problems for sure. Between the tank sealer and some epoxy to fasten the new ""wrench"" to the fitting, I feel sure the problem will not happen again."
