Brief Description:  Still Plugging Along

Well, I have not stopped work, just playing with little issues. I forgot to put in five rivets in the landing gear tunnel, land now there is no tool that will allow them to be installed. I have a request to Vans to see what they say, probably the missing rivets would lnot actually alter the strength of the fuselage, lbut I want them in there anyway. I am working on a close quarters rivet puller of my own design since there appears not to be any on the market. Lots of study.
I turned out a wing squeezer pin of my own design, have no idea if it will do the trick or not until I try it. The idea is to insert it and by sticking a screwdriver or punch into the holes,, turn it and make the wings align with the holesl.
Another distraction, a friend just bought a Hummel from Canada, and I let him put it in my hangar for the time being. Cute little bugger, apparently the only one built with this two cyl two stroke engine. Looks like a little fighter!
A previous sale of the Ercoupe fell through, so it is on the market again, got to make room for the AF1 to reside in the hangar.
