Finally got one main landing gear leg installed. Lesson learned, you should FIRST match each of the pieces for fit. I had to do some minor file smoothing in order for things to make a nice fit. Although I had checked and did not think I would have that usual problem with interfering rivets, I had to chop one out to make clearance. The assembling of the tires to the wheels is far more complex than it looks, takes a lot of detail work to get them all mounted and aired up. Second photo shows some of the parts you have left over when you finally get the tires inflated. Most of this has to stay off until the axels are aligned after mounting. I am anxious to get it up on its wheels to make it easier to get around in the garage, and much easier to move around.
