They say imitation is the best form of flattery. So, my build partner is fellow RV-8 builder Steve Riffe. I really liked Steve's solution to the RV-8 parking brake and copied it.
After I completed the bracket for the Grove gear parking brake, I tapped the parking brake lever to 3/8 24 thread to accomodate the spring plunger part #8480A1 from McMasterCarr.com. Fits like a glove and works well.
