My rear fuselage is finished. Nothing more can be done until I receive the forward fuselage cage and rudder cables. Once I have installed the rudder cables I can attach the bottom skin or maybe not. I installed the turtledeck as a unit with the skin clecoed to the two forward formers. The small aft former is riveted to the fuse before the turtledeck is put on as I don"t think it would be very easy to rivet it from the inside. It took all of 4 minutes or so to set it in place so it can be clecoed and riveted. The fuse has to be placed on its side to rivet the second former to the bulkhead or you have to sit on the floor and reach up !! Not my choice. :-) The very front formers cannot be installed until the forward fuse is attached. They are ready to cleco and rivet. One thing in particular I like about the Panther design is the use of skin stiffeners on the side panels. Yes, that is plastic on the TD skin. No reason to pull it off yet.
