Last couple of days has been bits and pieces. Too many meetings w/ lawyers and Real Estate Brokers !!! I borrowed Dad's notebook which has a serial port and reclaibrated the Crossbow AHRS. I then fiabricated the copilot lower forward fuse closeout/uphosstery panel. Before attaching these I needed to install the side cabin panel closeouts. I found that I hadn't countersunk a couple of the screw holes on the intercostals. Installing the panels was a little tricky with the sear rails already installed. I was able to move the panels up high enough to just barely get the bottoms to clear the seat rails. I also had to make a quick trip to Aerozona for Stainless Steel screws. Today I headed out to the airport intending to figure out how to attach the panels to the fuse. I stopped # Jerry & Mickey hangar, and Bill S. came by and said he wanted to go flying, and did I want to join him ??? Heck ya! Bill's got a beautiful 7A. we teamed up wih Jerry & Mick and headed up to Sedona for a bite, then back down. Bill let me fly his 7 both ways !!! WooHoo!. Back at the ranch. I figured how to attach the side panel. I used the same 3 countersunk holes for the side close out on the aft end. then I used some 'clip-nuts' and stainless steel sheetmetal screws to secure the remaining edges. I'll finish the pilot side tomorrow. (After more RE mtgs in the am !#$!#$). Then I'll pick up some body filler and prep the parts for paint.
Look Ma no more ugly wires
CoPilot close out panel installed
I'll dress this part up with some body filler and paint
