Brief Description:  Sec Final-19

I began the installation of the seatbelts. The belts came with a bushing inserted in them from Hooker, However the bshing is the wrong size, so I foind some bushing material (alum rod) from the 'parts' and cut 8 of them, then cleaned them up w/ scotchbrite wheel, etc. I installed the rear shoulder harnesses 1st. Then installed the rear seat backs, and then the lap belts for the rear seats, fillowed by the rear seat bottoms. The belts are made so that the lap belt with the rotary clasp needs to be positioned on the right side. (It took me a time or two to figure this out) . After getting the rear seats and belts installed, I climbed in back and 'adjusted them so that they will fit me, I realize that might be a bit large for most folks, but its a place to start. The belts are a bit bulky, The shoulder pads are removable, we'll find out after flying if they stay or go. Before installing the front seat, I started to install the aftermarket under seat positioning lever I purchased from Greg Hale. BUT !!! I found 2 problems. 1. The instructions for where to drill the aft hole are not accurate, I'm going to have to put a doubler in the misdrilled hole and then redrill. 2. The underseat lever which attaches to the latch pin, has 1/4" holes drilled in the sides, BUT only a #6 clevis pin goes through the pin!!! Fortunately I found Jerry at his hangar and he's going to machine a couple of shoulder bushings out of nylon that should fix that problem. I trial fit the pilot seat and the overhead O@ console to see where to position the seatbelt hanger, and got that positioned.
