I got a note from Rob Thurs who wanted me to come over and inspect the wings etc before he delivers them. So Parker and I headed down to Chandler yesterday afternoon for a looksee. Unfortunately when I arrived the batteries in the camera were dead so I don't have any shots of those items. They were just finishing the color sanding and buffing of some of the parts. I'm VERY happy with the way the paint job is turning out so far, and also VERY happy about the decision to go w/ a base/clear coat appplication. Rob had the Fuse in the booth while we were there, it was all taped and he was in the process of shooting the Grey (final) color. He sent me these pics last night after they shot the grey and then peeled the masks and tape. He had previously sent a pic of the N Numbers, and the original mask, was too large, he got a new set of masks made and these look like they will work better, The placement of the numbers causes the aft portion of them to wrap slightly on the upper portion of the tailcone. We talked about shcedule, NExt step is to clear the fuse, then reattach the cowl and layout the rest of the graphics on the lower cowl, paint and clear those and then color sand and buff the remainder. Rob seems confident that he'll finish by the end of next week, and I believe him.
