Brief Description:  Sec Paint-1

Well, the long awaited day finally arrived. ....... The painter came and picked up the plane. I'm having Rob Drew (www.drewbrotherscustoms.com) paint the plane. Rob's background is in auto painting and restorations, He's painted several planes and is interested in painting more. He's just finishing up a Lancair IV PT. I wanted a base coat / clear coat paint, and Rob's VERY familiar with that obviously. Additionally, he guarantees the paint and the paint job for as long as I own the airplane. He's definately not the cheapest guy around, but Since the paint is one of the items that really makes or breaks the appearance, I figure given the rest of the work that I've put in to improve the appearance of the plane, this should be a good compliment. He got the fuse in one trip by loading it on the back of a tiltback trailer/mover he has, and the wings and the rest of the flying surfaces in another trip. I have to admit, after over 3 years of looking, touching and working on the project, as he pulled down the road, I had a GREAT deal of seperation anxiety going on ! Almost as hard as marrying my 1st daughter! Take good care of my baby Rob.
