Brief Description:  Sec Interior-19

There's a place that was covered by tape that showed and required repainting. then continued fitting glareshield. 1st was to trim the underside so it fit flush with the instrument panel. Then I modifiedthe sides. First by extending the fiberglass to reach the door frame/posts. I did an 8 ply lay-up on the right side (too much) and then sanded/trimed it to fit the contour. then I used body filler to build up & extend and taper the 'face' of the glareshield to a natural blend on the right side. sanded that all to blend and then I covered the extended portion with 2 plys of BID cloth. With the right side fit, I repeated the same procedure for the left side, only I haven't glassed the final extended/contoured edge yet. I applied Velcro to the door upholstery panels and the attached them to their respective doors, and rehung the doors. They look REALLY good !!!!!. while waiting for some fiberglass to cure, I lengthened the support brace for the left side engine probes harness, the old location had the harness resting on the #6 EGT probe and that's not good, so I made a new bracker 1/2" longer and now the probe is above the harness/cluster. I'm doing an experiment on door hinge covers. I tried making one out of .032" using an edge roller, but I wasn't satisfied with the result, so I sanded some 1/4" foam, and did a 4 ply lay-up oveer it, and then trimed and sanded it to final shape. I test fit it on the cabin cover and it looks like it should work fine, so I'm makeing 3 others to match. With the curved edges there's enough of a spring tension on the surface to keep the pieces from being ripped off (I hope!!!)
