Combo update for Tues & Wed. Inbetween waiting for the SuperFil layers to cure, I removed soem tywraps in the engine compartment that were tied around the engine mount and replaced them w/ Adel clamps. Also secured some of the control cables. I've got a couiple more to do and then everything will be buttoned up. Meanwhile, the major activity has been getting the cabin cover inside ready for paint. There are some 'Joggles' in the cabin cover around the window and around the aft borders. I want the painted surfaces which wont be covered by upholstery panels to be smooth. so that meand I have to fill the low spots with SuperFil and then sand, fill, sand, fill ..... I also decided the cover all of the rivetheads on the longerons where the cabin cover attaches. Two applications of SuperFil with sanding in between, and then I'm finishing up with applications of Metal Glaze. I'm putting a rounded fillet at the bottom seam where the cabin cover meets the longeron. I'ts a LOT of extra work, but when I'ts all primed and painted it should look outstanding and will provide a more tailored/finished interior appearance.
