Trimed an filed the retainer ring on the oil door opening. rounded the corners on the oil door itself. Clecoed on the hinge, and then wrapped the oil door in Saran wrap (release film). Mixed up some epoxy and colodial silica and squeeged it into the gap between the oil door and the opening. placed some weights on it to hold it flush, and then put it under the Halogen lights so it would set up. After setting up, sanded everything flush w/ 100 grit. it came out Great! too bad I can't leave it like this because the gap has disappeared. Unforunately i'll have to sand the door itself a little in order to provide for paint. Still waiting on the Cam Loc's to arrive. Spoke w/ Ed Hayden and he's heard about a hidden latch that used a magnet to lock and un-lock it. I'll hold off on installing the CamLoc's until I can investigate that.
