Latte last night I mixed up some flox and pressed it into some of the holes caused by cleco's and some voids also. there was an area on the lower fwd right bottom cowl lhinge that needed a little build-up. This Am sanded all of the filled areas flush and leveled the build-up area on the bottom cowl. Then prepared the oil door for a retainer-lay-up. After double checking the operation of the hidden hinge with everything clecoed in place, I places several plys of duct tape across the top of the upper cowl to hold the oil door flush while the lay-up is applied and curing, then turned the cowl over Sanded the perimeter of the door opening and then applied duct tape to the inside of the oil door, trimmed it with an exacto knife so that it only covered the door itself. Prepared a 7 ply lay-up betwen two sheets of plastic film, squeeged excess epoxy out, trimmed with roller cutter to 7.5" sq, and applied it to the underside of the door opening, Added some peel ply. We're off to take Grandma back home and to visit the kids @ school over the weekend, be back Mon pm.
