finished riveting the Right side hinge to the upper cowl. Test fit the upper cowl to the fuse with the bottom cowl clecoed in place. It still fits just fine. I inserted the hinge pins all but the last 1 1/2" on the upper cowl. They are not easy to get in but do go if you take some time with them. I then riveted the bottom attach plates to the firewal along with the #8 nutplates attached. final sanded the aft edge of the bottom cowl to provide proper clearance/gap with fuse skins and also sanded the horizontal seam between the upper and bottom colw halves. I inserted the hinge pin into the bottom hinge while it was still clecoed to the colw and drilled #40 through the firewall at the point where the hinge struck the firewall. this is so that I can put the hinge pins in from inside of the cockpit and eliminate any external provisions. I did use Van's hardware to partially hide the upper hinge pins. Then Prosealed and Rivited all of the remaining hinges to the bottom cowl.
