Brief Description:  Sec FF2 plenum step 9

After dropping Parker off this am, I went down and bought some more Hi-Temp epoxy. Also picked up some spray on release agent. I was expensive but appears to be very close to spray on vegetable oil which I believe would woork just as well. I traced a line on the engine case where the plenum would contact it, then used duct tape to tape off everything 1/4" before and behind the line. (I also wraped some of the accessories to protect them. Sanded the front of th eplenum where the layups would adhere to. Mounted it to the baffleing with screws. I cut several 12-18" x 2-3" strips of fiberglass cloth on the bias. the mixed up the epoxy and began doing the lay-ups. I found that using smaller length strips and overlapping them worked well. Began on the left side of the engine and worked my way around to othe right side. Applied at least 4 plays and in some cases 6+ plys. Ran and got a soda while it set-up, Then poppd it off. Looks like I got a really close (fiberglass to engine case) fit on 98% of the plenum, The remaining will get addressed with some RTV just before 1st engine start. Trimmed the plenum so that it has aprox 1/4" flange which projects forward. Sanded everything on the forward face of the plenum, mixed some micro and trowled it into all of the contours to make a smoother appearance. There are some areas around the intake rings which need to be sealed. tomorrows task.
