Looking for something to do while the prop template arrives. Decided to mount the alternator. Not a lot to it. Put in some bolts torque them down and safety the bolt heads. The belt will have to wait until The ring gear and prop are installed. Funny, Van's doesn't make any mention of the Alternator install in the firewall forward plans section. Perhaps they have instructions included with their alternator. I'm going with the B&C 60 amp, and based on what I've been seeing recently regarding alternator failures after only a few hours i'm hoping that was a good decision.,
