Fabricated 3 of the 5 window trim rings. I got this process from Gary Specteter @ OSH this year. You begin by putting packaging tape (so fiberglass won't stick to it) around all of the window frames. then you put a layup of light weight fiberglass cloth (in my case I used 3 plys of 3 oz e glass) around the window frame. when the glass is beginning to set up, you bend it over the edge of the window, then before it completely hardens while it is still smoewhat 'green' you trim it flush with the outside. This leaves a right angle when the glass cures. when fully cured you trim the pieces to fit. Th elittle right angle serves to provide a lip that you can wrap your headliner fabric around and yeilds a very nice clean finish. After covering the trim rings in the headliner fabric, you can glue/velcro or otherwise attach them to the window for a professional finished look. ..... At least that's the plan. I got the windshield and both rear windows complete today. It will take another session to finish the door windows.
