Finished installing the accss panels to the upper fwd fuse. When I receive the parts I will mount some 80mm computer fans into each panel for avionics cooling and defrost. I was happy with being able to get a fairly tight/close fit on the panels and the fuse. I made a doubler out of .062, installed some #8 countersunk nutplates in each corner, then riveted the assembly to the previous cutout. 4 # 8 screws seems to hold the access panel flush. It took the whole day to get this finished,
Seems like a long time, but I had to remake the access panels as I got too agr3essive on the corners and didn't like the gap that it created. Another step closer to getting the windscreen installed.
