Brief Description:  Sec 41-Faux2

Finished opening the heater duct openings, and also the large square recessed area where the TPM controls exit the cockpit. I don't want to mount the engine mount witrh the fiberfrax material between the 2 stainless steel pieces so I cut out the 4 areas where the engine mount meets the firewall, I'll cut the fiberfrax so that it is not apparent in these areas and I should have the original surface to bind to. Th eonl yproblem is that in checking the Finish plans I noticed that there are actuall 6 (SIX) engine mount attach points, So i'm going to have to open up another couple of holes towards the bottom of the skin. I'm trying to determine how best to dimple and rivet these together. I tried a test strip with combinations of dimples and fiberfrax, 426-4 rivets and some countersunk Pop rivets. I'm going to try and use 426-4's as much as possible. But before attaching the Faux firewall and the fiberfrax, I need to 1. attach (temporarilly the cowl hinges and spacers to ensure there is no interference, and 2. temporarilly install the engine mount. Goinf golfing tomorrow w/ Pat, so maybe on Sat
