Brief Description:  Sec 41-1 initial trimming and noodeling

Removed the Flap positioining system and returned it to the vendor. It had no power going from the control box to the flap motor, Ran a continuity check per the vendors instructions and verified that the ground lead did not have continuity through the controller, so boxed it up to send back for an exchange. Began the initial trimming and noodeling about the fiberglass panel. The panel is a Lancair panel, but The layout is Soo impressive, I (along with a couple of other RV-10 builders) have decided to adapt it to our planes, Tthe issues are: 1. Need new mounting/attachment schemea and possibly some reinforcement of the fiberglass panel itself to replace the large bottom crossmember on Van's panel.. I want to be able to insert/remove the entire panel and 'bolt it on' We'll see if this is realistic. 2. The contour of the top of the panel doesn't perfectly match that of the RV10 glareshield., and the panel; itself is curved so that the outboard ends are 3+ inches closer than the center stack. 3. The outboard ends of the panel will require some cosmetic treatment. After the mounting/attachment is sorted out, I'll shape some covers from some foam and then glass them. This thing promisses to take up some time!!! Oh by the way did I mention that I'm going to build a console beneath it as well?
