Made a major dent in the control system install. Nothing remarkable, the thing which took the most time was positioning the washers on either side of the rod ends inbetween the weldments. Takes some fannagling and some patience. I redid the initial installation of the Left control stick base, the weldment is too narrow for the brass bushing, and initially I tried to spread the flanges on the weldment, however when torqued, they bind a bit and cause friction in the controls. Th eplans tell you that it may be necessary to adjust the length of the bushing and the pivot tube. I did the Right by shortening the brass bushing to the correct length and then shortening the pivot tube, and the whole thing went in much smoother. I did put some washers in to take up the slack, The result is a friction free installation with no slop/play.
The 'light' washers installed took a bunch of time and the O'l man had to wiggle into the tailcone
Redid the control stick base install to eliminate friction
All hooked up (except the elevator) to !@#$ hot to continue today (110!)
