Brief Description:  Sec 21-4 steps 1-7

Assemble and cleco all of the parts for both ailerons, then match drill the holes. Also dimple one of the skins where it contacts the ribs, install a couple of keeper rivets that get drilled out later. All in all the ailerons are going together rather quickly, There was a minor issue in dimpling the last rivet hole on the in and outboard ribs, I have the close quarters dimpling die from Cleveland, but they are designed to be used by a pop rivet tool which pulls both dies together and forms the dimple on the material in between. There was no way to get the stem that the puller uses inserted without seriously bending the flanges. I chose to drill an additinal hole opposite the hole that is being dimpled that allowed me to insert the stem and use the close quarter dies. This obviously weakens the rib somewhat, but in my infinite wisdom, I don't believe its at all close to any structural failure. Avery sells a vise grip dimple tool, that is small enough that it works OK (for future reference!!!!). I used a #40 reamer instead of the drill, the drill seems to tear up the hole too much, and with the Cogsdill, ends up enlarging them too much.
