Brief Description:  Sec Final-50

Odds and ends while waiting on the FAA medical. My daughter, Toery came by Thurs to exchange some items, so we met 1/2 way @ the hangar. she brougt our grandson Parley, for his 1st visit to grandpa's airplane. I think he likes it! I want to get the cowling buttoned up. Prior to taxi to elf serve fuel for ofuel fill up and tank calibration. I had some gaps in the plenum seal and the baffles, particularly around cly #6. So I took some measurements, mixed up some flox and built up the affected areas. Then the next day, i progressively sanded it away until the gaps were either eliminated or significantly reduced. I'll probably need to do some more work on sealling the plenum and baffles, but it can wait til after a few flights and some baseline data gathering. I installed the nose wheel slot covers on the lower cowl, (had to clean out all the nutplates from paint/body filler). Also spent some more time configuring the OP EFIS units, I still have a couple of config warnings that I'm having trouble clearing. reinstalled the planum, the installed the upper cowl. this was the 1st time since paint that the upper cowl is installed, and 1st time, it didnt' work/fit. I needed to rework the machined intake rings where the join to the cowling havles, and when done the rings seat much better. Installled the cowl with all of the hinge pins, still VERY tight, but Ed says that will loosen up after the initial flights. 2 remaining items, are to calibrate fuel tanks, and glue door seals.
